Jennifer Bourget

(Board President and Executive Director)

First and foremost, I am a woman with a dream! I have worked in several different capacities over the last eighteen years in special education and I have seen some progress and many great successes for children and adults with disabilities. However, our society has a lot of work to do in the area of meaningful inclusion for people with differing abilities and challenges. It is my dream to create a beautiful, accessible, and welcoming space where our community can come together to learn and provide opportunities to change hearts and minds.

I am a wife and a mother of two; Barrett is ten years old and Emma is six. We have a busy household with two cats; Sox and Chester, and our Bernese Mountain dog, Cooper. I couldn’t have taken this huge leap of leaving my district job to start a new non-profit without the love and support of my husband, Josh and all of my friends in education. It has truly been amazing to see and hear the level of support in this community when I share my dream of making our world more inclusive and accessible for all. I am excited to share my hobbies and passions of travel, baking, reading, and arts and crafts with our clients. I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences with families as we all become better advocates for our children with disabilities. It takes a village to raise a child and I am thrilled to help create a bigger village for our families that may feel alone on this journey.
